Hey MOA, it’s been quite some time. I have so many things I want to tell you.
Adulting is (very) hard. Transitioning to the next life stage (full-time work) has been more time-consuming than I wish/expect. Now I understand our full-time working adult MOA even more - it’s very difficult on days to stream, vote, and even just stay updated with our favorite. But that is what makes MOA so awesome. I want to be like them as well. I don’t get to vote 50 times a day, but I try to use my 3 accounts every time I see TXT’s picture, whether it’s in my office, at home, or on my phone.
Changing scope of Moament. When I first started, I kept the format as a newsletter to help MOA catch up to things, including what’s going on in Moaville. It would be nice to keep doing that, but two reasons made it hard - I no longer have the time/energy for the lengthy writing AND being online has become more difficult/tiring than ever. All the drama going on with Twitter the company, some continuous issues with k-pop fandoms, and seeing some of my favorite MOA de-activate or go ia definitely doesn’t help with motivation. Which leads me to the next point.
Moament will become a blog now. I think that makes writing about TXT and MOA easier for me mentally. I really like all the interviews I do with different MOA and admins, so I will keep doing that. I also want to write more short essays just on random things. In terms of keeping MOA updated, I want to recommend a few really awesome MOA for that:
@txt_book for all sorts of social updates
@txtmonthly for daily official updates
@txtviraltweets for the hit tweets
And of course our cornerstones @translatingtxt @304verse @txt_sarangdan2
There are more MOA who do different things, I will keep introducing them as we go
A brief plan of Moament. I still have 2-3 interviews to release, I hope they will be really helpful to MOA given comeback is soon. I also want to do some more small projects with other MOA for our 4th year anniversary. Of course, if I can manage, essays for our member’s birthday, as well as for specific music/albums.
With all that being said, I want to write a little bit about TXT’s 2022 and a bit more about their upcoming year, including their very-soon comeback. I am really excited, especially after seeing the newest concept photos.
2021/Freeze was such a big success and we really saw TXT’s massive growth in their music, performance, and just overall. What could happen in 2022?? I believe we all started the year with such curiosity. Here is a brief recap.
January-February: members finished award season and took their longest ever time off. Sadly COVID was still looming.
March: members finally saw MOA during their 3rd year anniversary.
April-May: Thursday’s Child comeback, with lots of anticipation, excitement, and of course some issues in terms of promotion times and concert logistics. We were really happy for our boys and missed them so much (Fight or Escape was summer 2021). They killed it.
Summer-Fall: World tour. Lollapalooza. Summer Sonic. Everything was freaking amazing. TXT was so busy, they were everywhere.
Fall to now: more world tour in Asia. Award season (including several visits to the US again), super crazy performances at MMA & MAMA. New comeback.
Wow. They did amazingly. I know I have more to say about all this, but to be honest, I won’t be able to finish listing everything cool they did. There were so much great moments, performances, members going on Weverse/Vlive (you will be missed), etc. I just know that for baby MOA and veteran MOA, 2022 was a good year in many ways.
So now let’s look forward a little to 2023 and what is to come. I will make some predictions:
January comeback massive success. We will blow past the last sales record (streaming is a different thing). This year’s promotion season will have better schedule to accommodate the members.
4th year anniversary in March. Very special performance. I know the members are working on that as we speak right now.
Another world tour. This time will include bigger venues and new destinations - Europe, Latin America, Australia, Canada. For stops in the US, Korea, Japan, and various SE Asia cities, venue sizes will be 10k minimum no matter where. I want to see them perform in the Forum or Staples Center (both around 20k seats).
More upgrades to TO DO in production and viewership. TO DO went viral several times during the last few months, I believe the episodes will have viewership rival major variety shows this year. The members are just so charismatic and naturally fun.
More collaboration with other artists and programs. TXT will lead new programs (similar to the Game Caterers) and at least one member will MC another major TV program. In terms of music, more collaboration with Korean artists and artists abroad.
The year of self creativity. I have a strong feeling that the members will take more control of their music than ever. More producer Beomgyu and Hueningkai (and hopefully Taehyun). Members will have song credits in every track of an album. Yeonjun will design a choreography routine for performance.
New force in fashion. The last several months have been crazy in terms of fashion and styling, thanks to our stylists and the members looking so good. The concepts and magazine shoots this year will be next level. I think 2023 they will further the progress and possibly enter brand ambassador position for a major luxury house - Burberry is within reach, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Christian Dior or Loewe or Chanel.
That’s all I have for now. I know TXT members are always working hard, so let’s all work for a great 2023 too, in our personal life and as MOA. I know Taehyun will always talk to us on Weverse, so that makes me happy. Don’t forget that you can write him letters! I’m sure he’d be happy to get more mail from us :)
Bye!
